The eLogbook is an online repository for surgeons to record their operative records for the purposes of training and appraisal. The eLogbook allows you to build up a complete record of your operative experience and provides reports to support assessments, interviews, appraisals and re-certification. It provides an invaluable service to surgeons throughout their career within an online system which is compliant with data protection requirements.
International surgeons are invited to register for an eLogbook account via our “Overseas Registration” pages.
Originally developed by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in close co-operation with Specialty Associations in the UK, the eLogbook is now the designated logbook for UK surgeons on behalf of the four Royal Surgical Colleges of the UK and Ireland.
Members and Fellows of the UK & Ireland Royal Surgical Colleges are also eligible to register for free for the Surgeons' Portfolio via their College’s Members’ area. The Surgeons' Portfolio also enables recording of on-going career development activities (such as clinical practice feedback, CPD activities) and incorporates the operative records section of the eLogbook.
If you would like any further information about the eLogbook or the Surgeons' Portfolio, please contact the helpdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org
